About Us

E3T Connect is an online community established to foster exchange among emerging technology (ET) professionals in the energy efficiency field and build a knowledge base for new technologies for electric energy efficiency.

The idea of this collaboration website grew out of a formal program sponsored by the Bonneville Power Administration to identify, rank, evaluate, and recommend promising energy efficiency technologies that are not yet in common use in the Pacific Northwest.

A companion website, E3TNW.org, holds a knowledge base of technologies that are in various stages of evaluation by core E3T staff at WSU and technical advisory groups composed of regional and national experts. Access to E3TNW is by invitation only, however E3T Connect represents a window into this work and a chance to participate informally, as we will display results and work in progress and offer you an opportunity to add your own insights, experience and data to this expanding knowledge base.

Using E3T Connect you can interact with other emerging technology professionals, find existing colleagues from around the country, meet new ones, share information, resources, questions, and answers related to your particular areas of interest and expertise. See the benefits of participating.

E3T Connect offers interactive discussion groups and blogs from leading professionals in the field, and can serve as a repository for shared resources, including files, images, videos, and links. The critical content will come from you – through your participation in forums on a range of topics limited only by the experience within the group, information about your ET projects and progress in discussion groups, blogs, images, and files. Additionally, you may submit your ideas for new energy efficiency emerging technologies that should be evaluated by using our form.

We encourage your involvement in the important mission of furthering energy efficiency by adding to the collective knowledge about emerging technologies. If you have any questions or comments, please use our contact form. Additionally, there is a help section should you experience any issues.

E3T Connect is brought to you by the Washington State University Extension Energy Program (sponsored by the Bonneville Power Administration and Western Area Power Administration).
