How to get the most out of E3T Connect

E3T Connect allows emerging technology professionals to engage in conversation online. For those of you whose previous experience with social media has been limited, the following suggestions are offered to help you get the most from these engagement tools:

Post it (with notes!) Got a quick comment, question or piece of information to share? Enter it anytime on the Forum.

The Forum is the place for posting items and discussions that will be of interest or benefit to everybody on the site. Anyone can start a discussion and anyone can respond. However, before starting a new discussion, it is a good idea to see if someone already has created a related topic where you can add value.

If you have a fresh question or idea and want some feedback, start a new discussion on the Forum.

But don’t just post and run – follow the discussion and continue to contribute. Every new response brings the discussion back to the top of the front page, so keep an eye on the Forum to see the latest! And keep in mind that if you want to debate a topic, the Forum is where to start!
 

Anyone (even you) can blog!

Think of a blog as a series of short essays or articles, similar to a regular or occasional column in a newspaper. The blog is your place to share insights, opinions, and information in an expanded post. Blogs should be geared toward peers and professionals in the energy efficiency arena, and not be consumer-oriented.

Each week a few blogs will be featured on the homepage of E3T Connect. 

You can be both a leader and a follower! Do you want to explore a particular technology area with others? Consider starting a group.  

Groups are where members can "gather" and focus on a specific topic. Discussions in the Groups tend to get more technical. Only group members can start and respond to discussions, so you need to join the groups in which you’d like to participate.
